ABOUT - hi im dr. mikaila (2).jpg

Hi,

I'm Dr. Mikaila!

I’m a licensed Naturopathic Doctor practicing out of beautiful Squamish, British Columbia. My clinical focus is on digestive and mental health, and I have a special interest in IBS, anxiety, stress + burnout, and fatigue.

I approach my practice with curiosity and thoughtfulness and aim to guide my patients to vibrant health through foundational health habits and natural strategies.

My passion is exploring the complex interplay between your habits, microbiome, environment, hormones, and nervous system.

My approach to health is whole-body and patient-centered, and I coach my patients to make healthy decisions (most of the time), and to invite imperfection, self-compassion, and balance along the way.

Using nutritional and hormonal assessments, conventional and functional laboratory testing, and clinical diagnosis I can help uncover WHY you're feeling unwell, and identify HOW to restore your health.

I have a keen focus on integrative medicine and hope to inspire you to invite the best of both worlds into your healthcare strategy. Above all, it is imperative to me that you are aware of your options and feel empowered to make informed decisions regarding your health.

You will leave my office with a thoughtful + actionable plan - and hopefully an awakened appreciation for the body you live in.

In my spare time, you'll either find me in the kitchen, on a mountain, in the water, or at a cafe. I love creating beautiful meals, reading fiction novels, mountain biking, and practicing what I preach - one imperfect step at a time!
